About Me

Hi, I am Michele Audish and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#153283) working under the supervision of Sarah Segal, LCSW #86501.

Do you find your mind racing constantly? Are your thoughts loud, intrusive, and impossible to ignore? Maybe you worry that sharing them will make others look at you differently or make them feel like something is wrong with you. You might find yourself avoiding things that scare you. You might get stuck in repetitive loops of doing the same thing over and over just to feel a moment of relief. If this resonates, you're not alone and I believe we can work together to find a solution that works for you. As a therapist who specializes in OCD, I’ve heard it all! Your thoughts will not scare me. I believe that intrusive thoughts are a part of being human, but I also understand the pain they cause and how much they can steal from your life. My goal is to help you face those thoughts with compassion, curiosity, and courage so you can begin living a life you value and deserve.

I use a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)to meet your unique needs. My work is always tailored to your values, your goals, and your story. I also bring in perspectives from family and couples systems to explore how your environment and family history may shape the patterns you’re experiencing. Together, we’ll work not only on treating OCD, but also on healing the grief and loss it may have caused in your life. I believe that people with OCD have depth beyond their obsessions and compulsions. Our work together is about uncovering who you truly are and how you are separate from your OCD. Therapy with me is about your whole journey, not just symptom relief. As we get to know your inner world, we’ll uncover parts of you that have been hidden and waiting for the space to shine.

As for my experience and background, I earned my B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSUN. Before becoming a therapist, I worked extensively as a life coach which influences my style as a therapist. I love identifying problems and working collaboratively towards solutions with you. I also worked as an exposure and response prevention coach at an OCD clinic, which is where my passion for OCD began. Since entering the field of therapy, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, families, couples, and groups of all ages in many different contexts. I now focus on OCD and anxiety disorders with individuals, couples, and families. I am an LGBTQIA+ therapist who approaches therapy from a social justice informed lens.  I love to laugh and have a good time, but I also approach your struggles with the weight and respect you deserve. I believe therapy should feel human, warm, and personalized. I am excited to get to learn more about you and travel alongside you as you get to know yourself outside of your suffering from OCD.
